ATONEMENT

My very dear Brethren,

The Bible taught james not to be selfish.
So, in applying what i’d learnt, i share these Bible “riches” with you all.

Note the subject in the above.

The meaning “At-one-ment” = the state of being at one and/or being reconciled.

So, Atonement really means Reconciliation.

It is used to denote the effect which flows from the (resurrected) death of our Lord Christ Jesus.
The word also is used to denote that by which this reconciliation is brought about, viz., the death of Christ in His divine conquering power in His Resurrection.
When the word atonement so used, it implies “satisfaction” of our souls. In other words, to make an atonement for someone (in its Gospel Truth), is tomakesatisfaction for the offences of us all, Bible references are Ex 32:30 ; Lev.4:26 ; 5:16 ; and Num.6:11 for examples.which as regards the person or persons (ourselves), to reconcile is to propitiate God in Hid behalf !
By the atonement of our Lord Jesus Christ, we now understand His Work by which He expiated our sins and the sins of the whole wide world !

Remember, the Bible already expounded for our understanding, that atonement denotes reconciliation itself !
Therefore, words used by theologians of the Reformation is to be preferred to the word “atonement” “satisfaction” ought to be understood Christ’s satisfaction in all that He performed on earth in the upper room and in behalf of all sinners to satisfy the demands of the “law” of God and the Justice of God.

Because our Lord Jesus’ great works on the Cross at Calvary consisted of Hid divine sufferings same time His obedience demonstrated to us to follow the examples of not just the Perfect Man but as God Elohim, El Shaddai, Yahveh, Yah Shua Messiah…..these titles of our Living God go on and on and on!

Atonement is therefore not merely for our benefits but in our stead foremost as the sufferings and obedience of our Saviour substituting us in dying for us while we are yet sinners.
We should not live anymore in guilt therefore because our guilt is expiated by the punishment which our dear Lord in His merciful and kindness bored for us all. God is rendered propitious, i.e., it is now consistent with His justice to manifest His divine love to transgressions. Because expiation has been made for sin, i.e., it is covered by His precious blood that flowed on Calvary.

So dear brethren, touch lives in each your individual ways as you testify for the Lord as you understood now our Lord Jesus Christ’s mediatorial work and sufferings are the ground and efficient cause of reconciliation with God as it does rectify the disturbed relation between God and man (& woman), taking
away the obstacles interposed by sin to their fellowship and concord. The reconciliation is mutual, i.e., it is not only that sinners toward God, but also preeminently that of God toward sinners, effected by the sin-offering Lord Jesus Himself provided, so that consistently with the other attributes of our Lord’s 09 Fruit of the Spirit, His character His divine Love might flow forth in all its fullness of blessing to men (& women).

To conclude, the atonement may also be regarded as necessary, not in an absolute but in a relative sense, i.e., if man is to be saved, there is no other way than this which GOD hath devised and carried out (Ex 34:7 ; Josh 24:19 ; Ps 5:4 ; 7:11 ; Nahum 1:2,6 ; and Rom 3:5)

This is GOD’s PLAN.
Clearly revealed to all who trust Him and believe in Him.
An it is not enough just to know, we must do and apply
